These terms use plain language for customers. They do not remove any mandatory right you have under South African law. If a mandatory law gives you greater protection, that law prevails.
1. How delivery is quoted
Delivery is quoted per order, because cost depends on weight, volume, destination and whether goods ship from stock or on indent. Unless a quotation itemises delivery, the price excludes it.
We deliver throughout South Africa and can arrange cross-border supply into the wider region on request.
2. Lead times
- Stock items generally ship within 1 to 3 business days of an accepted order and cleared payment.
- Indent and non-stock items carry a lead time confirmed on the quotation, which depends on the manufacturer and, for imports, on shipping and customs clearance.
- Lead times are estimates given in good faith. We will tell you promptly if a confirmed date is going to move.
- Where an order covers several lines, we may ship complete or in instalments — tell us which you prefer when you order.
3. Receiving your delivery
- Someone authorised must be available to receive and sign for the goods at the delivery address during business hours.
- Check quantities and packaging before signing. Note any visible damage or shortage on the delivery note at the time of delivery.
- Report shortages, incorrect items or visible damage in writing within 7 days of delivery.
- A failed delivery caused by an incorrect address, or by nobody being available, may attract a re-delivery charge.
4. Risk
Risk passes to you on delivery, or on collection where you or your carrier collects. Ownership passes only once we have been paid in full — see clause 6 of our Terms of Supply.
